Jacksonville Golf & Country Club

Jacksonville Golf and Country Club is a private, member-owned, equity country club situated within a gated community of 919 single family homes. Built in 1989, the club has remained the social and recreational centerpiece of the surrounding community.

Members enjoy one of the best-maintained golf courses in Northeast Florida, a tennis program voted “Best in Jacksonville” two years in a row, outstanding dining and meeting facilities, fantastic children’s programs and completely furnished fitness and aquatics centers. The experience at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club is second to none. The caring staff is dedicated to keeping JGCC among the best in the area – if not in the country!

The 18-hole Championship Course designed by Clyde Johnston and PGA Tour Professional Fuzzy Zoeller forms the centerpiece for the finest in social pampering of any club in the area. The Golf Course Superintendent and his team are second to none when it comes to golf course maintenance, keeping the course in excellent condition on a day to day basis. With seven sets of tees including two family tees for young and aspiring players, golf can be an activity the entire family can enjoy.

JGCC offers a vast variety of associations and events to accommodate golf members which include: Men’s Golf Association, Ladies 18-hole & 9-hole Associations, Couples League, Member-Guest Events for Men, Ladies & Couples, Junior Golf Ad Hoc Committee, Individual & Group Lessons for all levels of play and junior golf clinics offered all year round.

The tennis facility has been awarded “Facility of the Year” two years in a row by the First Coast Tennis Foundation. With ten lighted Har-Tru courts, two stadium viewing areas and a full service pro shop, Jacksonville Golf and Country Club offers active programs for players of all ages.

League play is offered for women, men and juniors, giving them the opportunity to grow their game and compete against other clubs in the area. Events such as the Tennis Member-Guest, Battle of the Sexes and Parent-Child Tournament are among the many activities that members enjoy throughout the year.

Jacksonville Golf & Country Club Fitness Center offers dedicated service, individualized programs and a positive experience for both the serious exercise enthusiast and the individual just beginning an exercise program. In the full service fitness center, one will find state-of-the- art equipment that includes Precor treadmills, ellipticals and bikes along with select pieces such as a Cybex arc trainer, a Stairmaster, and SciFit ergometer. Also available are a full circuit of Cybex strength equipment and Ivanko free weights.

To enhance the workout experience all of the cardio equipment are outfitted with Cardio Theater 15″ personal viewing screens and DVD/CD/MP3 players. Plus, any of the Personal Trainers are always ready and willing to keep up motivation and help members receive the perfect workout. In addition to the Fitness Center, the club offers a variety of over 25 group fitness classes each week on the floating wood floor and aquatics area.

Jacksonville Golf and Country Club’s Aquatics Center features a heated junior Olympic-size swimming pool, kiddy pool, playground and shaded picnic areas.

Along with swim lessons offered throughout the year, many different activities are offered such as Family Poolside Dive-In Movies during the summer. The year round swim team, the JGCC Dolphins, competes against other Country Clubs in the Jacksonville area and is proud of it undefeated seasons, two years in a row
